Euryale Brewing Company Review

It feels weird to be writing about a "new" brewery a year after they opened, but I had no idea they existed until they popped up in Groupon.  You can read about the many wineries and breweries we visit and have reviewed by clicking here. (NEW WINDOW)  Today, I want to tell you about a great little place in Riverside...
Euryale Brewing Co!

We took my father (and mother) to Euryale Brewing Company as part of his Experience Vs. Material Christmas gift. (NEW WINDOW)  They are, like most breweries, tucked into a commercial or industrial lot with very little street signage.  Once you enter, the place is actually spacious and welcoming with a mixture of patio furniture to sit on and one beautifully decorated, if not crowded, wall and the rest pretty barren.

Run by a husband/wife team, he is the brewmaster and she is the operator. The place was dead on Superbowl Sunday which was nice for us but bad for them.  It breaks my heart to see great local small businesses not having business.

A flight there consists of 3 pours, and they are generous pours.  At $6 per flight, We had 2 flights per couple which enabled us all to try all 6 of their beers.  The 6 beers include an IPA and a Pale Ale, both drinkable even for those of us that don't particularly care for hops on hops.  Also on tap is a delicious amber and a thick and creamy mole stout.  Rounding out the flight were two limited offerings including an ESB and an apple pie cider ale.

We each enjoyed a pint pf our favorites after the flights and we brought home 2 growlers of their special limited offerings.  All in all, $102 worth of beer and merchandise, but the Groupon gave that to us for half!  More importantly, the Groupon got us in the door and because the beer was quite tasty and the people were friendly, we'll be going back!  I can't wait to try their coconut porter that is normally available but made way for the seasonal apple pie cider ale.  Carrie, the owner, claims she likes it better than the champs over at Maui Brewing Company, though she admits she's only had it from the can.  I have had it from both the can and multiple taps so I am not sure her claim will hold up but I am excited to try!

We were even treated to a tour of the brewery by Don and let me tell you, he loves what he does.  He will talk to you about it as long as you'd like!  Go give this place your time and money!  They are everything craft beer is about!
