Travelers Review

I find myself a little underwhelmed by the content Netflix churns out and I want to point out that that is not necessarily due to a lack of quality.  It's probably more due to an abundance of product on their part and a lack of time and energy on mine.  When I do watch TV, it's usually either on in the background or on at night, before bed.  Those are times I don't want to have to think or pay attention...

Travelers

Recently, I had an entire day off and chugged through the first 5 minutes of several Netflix offerings that had been sitting in my queue forever.  The first three series or so, I ended up turning off and removing from my list.  Again, it's not that they were bad.  It's just that they didn't interest me on my one free day to binge.

Then I came upon Travelers.

Travelers is a newer Netflix Original Series starring Eric McCormack as the team leader in a beautifully cast show.  It centers on a team of 5 Travelers; people from the distant future; that have had their consciousness sent back into the body of someone that was about to die.  They prevent that person's death and then take over their life while simultaneously trying to stop events that are believed will eventually end the world.

There is a lot of science fiction obviously involved, but the characters are well developed and the writing is pretty fantastic.  I ended up staying up well past my bedtime to finish the series in a day.  I truly hope Netflix renews for a second season.

If you have 12 hours to spare binge watching television, I would spend them watching this show!
