Dries My Sack: Body Shaming

Welcome to the next entry in my, ongoing, op-ed. This series is titled "Dries My Sack" and can be compared to the Grinds My Gears segment in Family Guy Presents - Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. As I find things in life that piss me off, they'll become part of this series. The title for the series comes from a joke my father made while kayaking. I have a "Dry Sack" for keeping things dry during water sports and he made the joke that I should see a doctor. There you go...

You know what really dries my sack?

Shamers.

You know who you are and you know what you do.

You're some of the most despicable people on the planet.

I am not just talking Body Shamers.  There's the Mom Shamers.  The Slut Shamers. The Fandom Shamers.

You all suck.

Here's the scoop:

Ariel Winter can dress however the fuck she wants.

Kim Kardashian can parent HER children however the fuck she wants.

Chrissy Teigen can do whatever the fuck she wants with her husband.

If something doesn't affect you, you don't get an opinion on the subject.

You don't know their journey.

How anybody dresses, raises their children, or takes care of their body has no bearing on your life.

Whomever someone sleeps with doesn't affect you.

If you don't like something someone posts online, don't have sex with them.

If you don't like that someone is having sex with two people in the same week, move on.

If you don't like how someone dresses, look the other way.

If you don't agree with someone's parenting, raise your children differently.

If you don't enjoy someone's passion for a fandom, don't hang out with them.

There's an old saying about glass houses and throwing stones.

The internet is our glass house and we all seem to be fantastically good at throwing some pretty big rocks.

And that's what really dries my sack.
